Overheads
Overhead Basics: Using a continental grip loosely, raise both arms up and track the path of the incoming ball with the eyes and non-hitting arm. This will allow a great shoulder rotation into the shot. A high extension at ball contact in front of the body produces maximal shot trajectory and velocity. Keep the wrist loose and direct the racquet face towards the the target. Follow through completely and reset to ready position , be prepared to go forward and split step for the next arriving shot.
Regular Forehand Volleys
Use a Continental Grip , light split step , shoulder unit turn, keep a short racquet take back , move body momentum forward and stick the volley with a punching or blocking motion of the racquet face . Reset to ready position by being balance and split check for the next shot .
Low Backhand Volleys
Low Forehand Volleys
Same as regular volleys, using a deeper knee bend and keep the eyes the same level as the incoming ball . Adjust the racquet face angle to lift underneath the ball and place it deep into the other side of the court .
Regular Backhand Volleys
